The assessment structure was formed out of a desire to see the barista profession transformed and elevated to new heights. We want to push the boundaries of what a barista can be. Similar to Coffee Q-Graders training to develop their palates, we want to push baristas to excel in multiple key areas — fundamental espresso skills, latte art, filter coffee, palate development, communication, hospitality, teamwork, coffee knowledge , dialling in ability, cleanliness and more.

It is not a narrow pathway but a multi faceted, multi-dimensional pathway for those dedicated few.

This is not for everyone.

This is for the elite few who have spend years mastering their craft. Those who love the profession of being a barista, an executive over large teams or a barista trainer… and want to take it to the next level.
